• Anyone may enter (pros and amateurs alike).
• Minors should enter with the consent of a parent or guardian.
• Entrants aged 18 or younger (U-18) may enter only via the dedicated form, for age verification.
• Residents outside Japan may also enter (see Article 7 for the handling of prizes).

• Divisions: Summer, Autumn and Winter (three divisions). Each has a U-18 Grand Prix.
• How to enter (general): Follow the official Instagram and post with #ふらのフォトコン or #furanophotocon plus a season tag. Or enter via the dedicated form.
• How to enter (U-18): Accepted only via the dedicated form (entries via Instagram posts are not eligible).
• There is no limit on the number of entries. However, for fairness, each person may win at most one award per division.
• Entry is free.
• Posting on Instagram with the hashtag is deemed acceptance of these Terms. Entries via the form require you to tick the agreement box at submission.

• Only original works photographed by the entrant themselves are eligible.
• Only works taken within Furano City are eligible.
• The date of shooting does not matter (photos taken in the past are eligible).
• Editing: cropping and color correction (brightness, contrast, saturation, and ordinary RAW development) are allowed. Compositing and combining images (merging multiple photos, adding or removing subjects, etc.) is not allowed.
• Images created or generated by generative AI are not eligible.
• Works that have won other contests are also eligible.
• Please refrain from entering works that have rights issues.

• Copyright of entered works remains with the entrant.
• The organizer does not acquire the copyright.

[About use of works] *Please review this together with the copyright section.

• Entered, selected and winning works may be used free of charge by the organizer for the tourism promotion, promotion and marketing of the Kitanomine Ryokan Association and the Furano region. Example media: social media, websites, printed materials (flyers, posters, etc.), exhibitions, advertising, and so on.
• We will not use works for purposes other than the above, nor provide or sell them to third parties.
• When using a work, we will credit the photographer's name (or Instagram account name) where possible. Credit may be omitted due to space or medium constraints.

• For works that include people, the entrant must obtain the consent of the subject (or their guardian if a minor) before entering.
• Where third-party rights such as buildings, artworks or trademarks are included, the entrant is responsible for confirming them.
• If any issue arises regarding third-party rights such as portrait rights or copyright, the entrant is responsible for addressing it.

• The information you provide (place of residence, age, purpose of visit, etc.) is collected for operating this contest and for sharing/using aggregated data within the association for tourism promotion.
• Sharing with association members is done in aggregated, anonymized form that cannot identify individuals.
• We do not provide information to third parties.
• The entry form asks you to agree to these terms and to the handling of personal information (via checkbox).

• Winning works are selected by the judges.
• Prospective winners will later be asked to submit the original (raw) data.
• Prospective U-18 Grand Prix winners may be asked to present official documentation confirming their age (student ID, health insurance card, etc. — details other than the date of birth may be masked).
• We do not ship prizes or remit prize money overseas. Winners residing outside Japan are asked to come and collect their prize in person; prizes are held for one year from the announcement, so please collect them within that period.
• Prize money may be treated as temporary income. Tax procedures such as filing a tax return are the responsibility of the winner.

In the following cases, an entry or award may be invalidated.

• Plagiarism of others' works, rights infringement, or false declaration (including false declaration of age).
• If it is found that an image created by generative AI was entered.
• Works that are contrary to public order and morals or that do not fit the spirit of this contest.
• Violation of these terms.

• The organizer is not liable for any damages incurred by the entrant or third parties in connection with entry or winning.
• The organizer is not liable if an entry cannot be accepted due to communication conditions or system failures.
• The content of this contest may be changed or canceled due to unavoidable circumstances.

• These terms may be changed as necessary.
• This contest and these terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
